So you might be wondering to yourself, “Self, what on EARTH does Patty do when she isn’t pulling multitudes of people and gruesome creatures out of her wee little noggin?”
Well I could tell you that I spend my off time climbing Mt. Everest, biking through the streets of Paris and diving for pearls off the coast of Hawaii, but that would be three of the world’s biggest fibs. Nope, I’m just your average, everyday, mom on the go.
Okay, so this time of year I’m also gearing up for my most favorite time of year, the Santa Clarita Valley 4th annual Zombie March down Main Street! This is such a great community event because it’s a food drive for the local food bank and over the years there have been several tons of food donated! WOW! This will be my third year participating and I take my zombie-ness very seriously. Now I could just schlep out the same old zombie costume every year, but that is not how I roll. I’ve already started to troll the local second hand stores for this year’s costume, not only for myself, but my middle son has been with me every year, my twin daughters joined us last year and this year my mom is getting in on the act!
And every year we seem to go a little bigger and a little bloodier with our costumes. This last year my son went for the “vacation zombie” complete with straw hat, busted sunglasses and bloody swim trunks. It was awesome! I can’t wait to see what we come up with this year and I can’t wait to mix up my own special blend of zombie blood! HEEHEE!
So yeah, that’s what I do when I’m not breathing life into the people that inhabit my head J Again, thank you so much for Tina for letting me stop by!

Man, I wish Columbus did cool things like a zombie march! How awesome is that? I like how seriously she approaches her zombie costume, it would be amazing to see what people come up with each year!

Ok...first off...I think every town should have a Zombie-March. That's awesome. Secondly...I'm putting Divinity on my TBR list for sure. Can't wait to get to read it!
ReplyDeletePatty? Where is the photographic evidence of all this awesomeness? LOL I love the Zombie time of year. It's not the usual drag that people make it out to be. I'm going to be participating in a Zombie Run 5K and I cant' wait to see the costumes. Glad to know I'm not the only zombie enthusiast out there.
