Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes!!

Hello, blog friends! September was a lovely month and heading into the fall, winter season I wanted to let followers know things here at blog are changing.

Unfortunately, with kids, school, work, family....I just cant keep up with it anymore. This blog has been a huge part of my life for 3 years and while I love it like chocolate cake at a birthday, its time to slow down.

Instead of posting 5 or 6 days a week (that's too much for me) my goal is to post once or twice a week with reviews and have occasional author guest stops/touring. Ill also be running my remaining Saturday Spotlight commitments until 2013.

Hopefully slowing a bit will help me remember why I started.......reading.

  • I'm glad you'll still be around even a few days a week.

I've been headed in this direction myself. I only post if I have something to say. I'm having a lot more fun blogging and reading now because of it. I hope that's how it turns out for you as well :-)

  • Makes total sense to me! I've had to drastically cut back since the school year started and will honor the commitments I've made but am constantly re-evaluating things in terms of moving forward. All we can do is do our best and have fun!

  • I agree Tina! We blog because it's an extension of our love of reading! It should be fun. If you aren't having fun, then something needs to change! I fully embrace these changes. Glad you are doing something for yourself!

  • I don't see how you do it with such a full plate. Blog when you want, I say. You don't owe us anything. I've slowed and increased depending on what's going on in my life, and why not? It's life. Reading is important, but if it feels like a chore, then something is off. Enjoy!!

  • EVERYONE IS LEAVING ME!!!!!!! *sobs* Because clearly, all of this is about me ;-)

While I'm sad I won't be chatting with you via comments every day, I'm glad your taking things a bit slower so you have some time to enjoy real life and aren't stressing about the blog. It's crazy how quickly the blog can take over your life isn't it? Sometimes I feel like my days revolve around this blog, and it's easy to forget that I started it for fun. I'm glad you're not stopping altogether, and I hope the slower schedule helps you remember that reading and blogging are actually fun things and not work!

Good for you! I can so understand...I think a lot of us are just worn too thin lately! I've been considering cutting back myself...7 days a week for over a year an I'm starting to feel the burn out...and it's my reviews that are suffering. Here's to more time to actually read and less work!!

    1. Im so with you. My reviews were getting really lamo-o, I want quality over quantity and thats why Im only posting a few times a week. Id rather have 2 really great reviews than 6 or 7 crappy posts.
