Today I have Pearl North author of Fantasy Series The Book of the Night on the blog for a chat.
Hi Pearl, welcome to the blog, can you tell us a little about your book The Book of the Night?
While in my book I take the idea to extremes, the truth is that for many of us who love books, the idea of getting lost in a library is very attractive. I love beautiful libraries, and I've collected a top ten list of some of the ones I would be happy to lose a few days in -- provided I had plenty of sandwiches and coffee with me, of course.
10. Fisher Fine Arts Library, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA
9. British Museum Reading Room, London, U.K.
8. Theological Library at Strahov Monastery in Prague
7. The Trinity College Library, aka “The Long Room,” Dublin, Ireland
6. Pontifical Lateran University library, Rome, Italy
5. Library of Parliament, Ottawa, Canada
4. Philological Library of the Free University, Berlin, Germany
3. St. Florian Library, St. Florian Abbey, Austria
2. Bibliotheca Alexandrina
1. The Library at Alexandria
Wow- I think I want to visit this library!! It sounds amazing, as a reader and book blogger I could spent everyday getting lost in one. Thanks for stopping by today Pearl!!

GIVEAWAY
Today Pearl is giving away three (3) copies of her book- The Book of the Night. This is open to US and Canada only. Please leave a comment for an entry and a link to get in touch. Winner will be drawn Sept 20, 2012.

The world of the Libyrinth has experienced a series of wrenching changes. After the Libyrarians and their longtime foes the Singers discovered their common heritage, a young healer named Po found the Lion’s Bloom, an ancient and enormously powerful artifact capable of rewriting reality.
Behind the mysteries of their shrouded past has always been the legendary Book of the Night. Sought for generations, both feared and revered, it is the key to this world of wonders. When vain, grasping Queen Thela steals the Lion’s Bloom and imperils the very reality of the world, only the Book can heal what she has rent asunder. An epic journey through strange lands, a perilous encounter in a clockwork city, and the revelation of the truth beyond reality will lead those who find the Book to a moment when their world will either be saved...or cease to exist.

Not entering! Just want to say that the book looks awesome & sounds great too!

DeleteYou could definitely leave me in those libraries in Dublin and Rome and I would be quite the happy camper. How amazing would that be? Who needs a job really, just ship me over to Dublin or Rome and let me haunt the libraries day in and day out! I have a copy of this one, so don't enter me, I just wanted to comment:)
