Im thrilled to welcome Aimee Laine author of Surrender to the blog. Its Tinasbookreviews turn on the tour, Ill be chatting with Aimee and hosting a great giveaway!
Hi Aimee!! Thanks for stopping by today. With so many ideas and genres out there in the book world, tell me what makes your book Surrender stand out and what inspired you to write it?
Surrender’s inspiration comes from many places. First, from book one which while Surrender is a standalone, book 2 in the series helped me figure out where Surrender would go, what type of story would come of it, etc.

Secondly, the characters inspired the story. I’m the type of writer who really lets the characters tell the story. I don’t know all the details. Sometimes, I don’t even know the end. Yup, that’s right. I don’t always know what will happen at the end.
People might think that’s weird or odd, but it’s the truth. I start with a problem, I begin with a conflict, but I let the characters keep going. Building out their personalities, their likes and dislikes, their pains and struggles and their happy moments is all about letting the story be told instead of forcing it.
Any time I have ‘forced’ a story, I’ve had to rewrite it. In Surrender, in fact, I rewrote 25,000 words because one complete section was ‘off’ and it messed everything up. Over time, I have learned this about myself. I must let my story be told and not try to tell it by forcing my characters to do something that’s not natural to them.
Sounds crazy, but it’s true.
And as such, I hope you love Surrender as much as I do!
GIVEAWAY
Today I have one eBook copy {your choice} to giveaway to readers. Please just leave a comment and a winner will be chosen at the end of the tour.

Face the past or look to the future? Both will hurt. One could kill her.
All her life, Lily Crane has suppressed her childhood memories, masking the signs of abuse with a variety of looks. From brunette to blonde, tall to short — as a Mimic, changing shape is her gift. Her right. Her Achilles heel.
It’s Lily’s latest likeness, chosen simply by accident, which threatens to repeat a history she’s desperate to forget. Worse, she must do so without the one man who takes all her pain away: Cael Aldridge.
Cael has no intention of leaving Lily on her own. He never has. Now, with the woman he loves in the hands of a predator who wants Lily for her genetics, Cael will do everything he can to bring her home.
Alive.
He can only pray he isn’t too late.

She rewrote 25,000 words? That's a massive rewrite. I probably would have cried before deciding it was necessary and getting down to business:) Love getting behind the scenes info on authors and how they write! Thanks Tina and Aimee!
