Tgif is a great weekly meme hosted and created by Ginger at Greads. This feature lets us wrap up the week and also poses a weekly question pertaining to blogging, books and what have you. This weeks question:
Book Associations: Which genre, authors, or particular books do you think people associate with your reading style?
Well after talking to some of my favorite bloggie buddies the consensus about Tinas blog is that Im an eclectic blogger and reader. Most of the feedback I got, told me I was a mix of adult and ya reads mostly focusing on contemporary, inspirational, dystopian and a touch of paranormal.

And that would be me in a nutshell.....try as I might, I could never box myself into one genre. I admire the blogs that can do that, I however am pretty much eclectic in everything. My books, my music, my movies, my clothing. I guess everyday for me is an adventure, sometimes I like PJ pants, sometimes I like skirts...sometimes I like vampires and other days I want sweet wholesome cowboys......

Until that time.....soak up the sun this weekend and read a great book!!!

I admire eclectic. I'm super boring and once I'm hooked on a genre I don't often vary.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog and design!

ReplyDeleteI feel like I'll read pretty much anything as well! Having a mix of different genres of books to read makes things not get soooo...boring I guess. I pretty much only review YA though.
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way. I like too many different kinds of genres.
ReplyDeleteI'm a rather moody reader, so I'll read whatever I feel like I need. I guess that makes me eclectic? Ha.
ReplyDeleteI love that your eclectic, it means that I never know what type of book I'm going to get to learn about when I click on your blog:) I love when we read the same books and compare notes, but it's also really fun for me to read your reviews of books I know nothing about.
ReplyDeleteEclectic is a good thing...I enjoy being that myself ;). Also, I'd like to add that sometimes you include a christian/religious view or book...and I like that as well. I don't find that on many of the other blogs I frequent.
ReplyDeleteYay for being eclectic. I usually only read YA, but I try to switch up the different styles in there. Sometimes I wonder if I see my blog's focus differently than the people who read it do. :)
ReplyDeleteMost definitely an eclectic blogger and reader, that Tina. ;)
ReplyDeleteAssortment is good in life...otherwise, the monotony would have killed me off by now. I do wonder how some people stick to one genre, but I like the eclectic outlook of things because it's true, some days I want to read about magic and werewolves and some days I want to read about naughty victorian men who have a penchant for horses. :D Gotta love Tina's Book Reviews.

I am the same way with books and I don't always want to read the same genre. I love to mix it up too.
ReplyDeleteDef agree that is totally you girl, and i love that about you. I wont be able to enjoy sun this weekend with the hurricane coming, but i plan on taking this time to read and catch up on reviews. Have a great weekend girl. Check out my answer if you get a chance.
ReplyDeleteI'm YA, plain and simple, though I've evolved from just paranormal and fantasy to loving contemporary, as well :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday, Tina!
I definitely agree you are eclectic blogger and that is what I like most about your blog. It encourages me to read books outside my usual genre :)
