Indie April with Quinn Loftis - Prince of Wolves

Today I have Quinn Loftis author of Prince of Wolves in the spotlight!

Hi Quinn, welcome to the blog, what Inspired you to write PRINCE OF WOLVES?

I enjoy teen paranormal books. I like being able to sit down for a few hours and escape to a world that could never be, but it's so cool to just consider it. The idea of getting to create that world sounded so fun to me. I love to write, I always have, I think it just took me finding something fun to write about to help give me the shove I needed to just get out there and do it.

Indie publishing- Why do you think its becoming so popular?

For the first time ever, Indy writers have access to mainstream readers with out having to have a publisher backing them up. Electronic readers and companies such as Amazon have made it possible for undiscovered talented authors to get their name out there. It's really exciting! I feel so blessed to live in such a time as this. Kindle, Nook, Soney eReader, ibooks, Smashwords have made it possible for new, undiscovered authors to stick it to the man by being able to get their book published with out having big daddy looking over their shoulder. I'm not saying that having a publisher wouldn't be a good thing, I'm just saying that it would take a lot longer to get your book out there if you had to find a big publisher to give your book a chance.

PRINCE OF WOLVES has become a movie, who is playing your main character and why?

Hmm, that's a hard one. I think Jacque could be played by Emma Roberts, she's got spunk. Jen could be played by Hayden Panettiere I think she's pretty sassy. Sally could be done by Vanessa Hudgens I think she has the sweet nature that Sally possesses. Fane...let's see who could pull him off...Robbie Amell, he has the dark and mysterious going on.

What top three Indie books would you recommend to readers and why?

Hush Money, Any book by Amanda Hocking, Ethereal. These all are fantastic examples of books written by authors who are of New Your Times best seller material and gaining in that direction on their own.

Whats on the horizon for QUINN LOFTIS?

Well, I'm planning on putting out two more books in the Grey Wolves Series making it a grand total of 4 books in the series. After that I've got several ideas in the works. I hope to be writing full time by the fall of 2012, that's my big goal. I would love to get to write with out having to work around a full time job.

What do you want readers to walk away with after reading PRINCE OF WOLVES?

I hope that they finish POW with a smile. I love ending a book with a big sigh and a smile. I hope that when they read that final page they feel like they have not wasted their time, but that they were able to step away
from real life for a time and step into a world where anything is possible.

Thank you so much Quinn for stopping by and being a part of this event, I seriously love books that make me sigh and smile......so Im off to read this tasty morsel of a new world and a few hours of romance.

Jaque Pierce was just an ordinary 17 year old girl getting ready to start her senior year in high school in Coldspring, Texas. When a mysterious foreign exchange student from Romania moves in across the street, Jacque and her two best friends, Sally and Jen, don't realize the last two weeks of their summer was going to get a lot more interesting. From the moment Jacque sets eyes on Fane she feels an instant connection, a pull like a moth to a flame. Little does she know that the flame she is drawn to is actually a Canis Lupus, werewolf, and she just happens to be his mate; the other half of his soul. The problem is Fane is not the only wolf in Coldspring, Texas. Just as Fane and Jacque are getting to know each other, another wolf steps out to try and claim Jacque as his mate. Fane will now have to fight for the right to complete the mating bond, something that is his right by birth but is being denied him by a crazed Alpha. Will the love Fane has for Jacque be enough to give him the strength to defeat his enemy, will Jacque accept that she is Fane's mate and complete the bond between them?

  1. Why can't a stunning werewolf move in next door to me and decide I'm his mate? *cries* Life just isn't fair ;-) This sounds like a book I would love thanks for introducing it to me Tina!

I love the story behind Amanda Hocking. I think that makes me want to read her more. I'm kind of a nerd that way. I'm excited for this one! The cover is gorgeous and you know what a cover whore I am.

ps..on a sidenote concerning what we were discussing late last night. You can't fast forward unless it's already played. So if you're in the middle of "it" don't close you're screen, pause it and come back. :D

  6. I'm just saying Bobbie amells looks nothing like Fane. You should make Taylor Lautner. I'm just saying you can do better on Fane. But everyone else is fine. But put Taylor Lautner as Fane. Thanks
