Let’s say tomorrow a “vampire manifesto” as Merit calls it runs in newspapers across the country announcing their existence. How do you think you would react? If you were hesitant to believe initially, what would it take to convince you they were real?
Does the guy who smelled like onions and butts at the gas station the other day count as a vampire?
I would have a really hard time believing that vamps are real...I guess it would take one biting my neck......I like my vamps hot and where they belong, in the fiction realm.

Since being turned into a vampire means complete removal from your former life and a new job serving your House in some capacity, what do you think you would miss most about the life you live now?My freedom, my kids, my family...oh my gosh I would be a wreck!! Vampires are cool to read about in fiction, but no way would I want to be one, on this subject Im totally *Team Rosalie*
What are your first impressions of Merit and how she’s handling all the changes in her life?
I think Merit is a tough chick, acting like many of us would given the circumstances. I admire her for being able to keep it together (despite her grief) in front of others.

Well since Ive been on a Sons of Anarchy kick and Im totally in love with Jax, I would have to say Charlie Hunnam would fit Ethan perfect!! He certainly has the best TV tush Ive seen....and *ahem, cough* we do get a pretty good naked Ethan scene here shortly...(wink)
Do you think Merit’s anger at Ethan himself, not the situation, is justified?
Yes. She needs a face to place the anger on, for now in all her sorting the issues out it makes sense to target Ethan. And why not place that anger on a hot sexy vampire....nobody said Merit was dumb....

Questions for Chapters 5-8
1. In what is a make you blush, steamy scene in the book- Chapter 5 has Ethan and Merit sharing a few hot moments after Merit's hunger strikes...that is until Ethan becomes a total cad! What do you think of him so far? Strong, masterful vampire, conceited playboy.....lover boy in disguise?
2. Merit and Mallory begin some major training in these next few chapters, resulting in cool Katana Sword facts and Ninja moves. What is the most physically challenging or adrenaline fueled event/activity you have participated in?
3. Mallory and Catcher have sparks so intense they almost fly off the page.....what do you think of this cozy couple? Did you like the insta-love between them? Do they add to the story?
4. Lets talk Bff's....Mallory is hands down a terrific friend to Merit, the girls relationship is real, down to earth and fun....not to mention hysterical. What is your favorite memory or favorite thing to do with your bff? Feel free to share pics!
5. Things are starting to heat up in the mystery department...the set up at Red, Morgan's flirty appearance.... Catchers vague answers......as correlation day gets closer for Merit do you think someone is out to get her...or maybe recruit her to another house? Or PS- feed her some more food...because goodnight this girl likes to eat!!!

See, now, I'd be completely down for a vamp outing :) But if I got turned, the hubs would have to come with me! I like your Ethan, although I envisioned someone a little more pretty boy. if you know what I mean :) However, he does make for a lovely visual for the nakee Ethee scene.
ReplyDeleteI'm completely with you on being changed. It's one thing if he was a doctor and she was in his care, but didn't want anything to do with this life and is now forced to deal with this whole new lifestyle. I'm still pissed at him for doing so and I read all of them so far. LOL!

@BiblBrou- lol, yes Jax is a little bit more tough-guy looking than sleek rich-boy Ethan, but with a little hair brushing, suit wearing, facial scrubs, he would be Ethan to a tee....:D

CHARLIE!!!! He would make such a great Ethan! I would be challenging that man to all sorts of fights if it got him shirtless and gave me the opportunity to get all close and sweaty with him ;-)

I'm with you! Vampires belong in the fiction realm. Plus, I'd hate not to be able to move around during the day.

Oh my gosh, we got Sons of Anarchy for Christmas...heard it was really good! I wasn't nearly as creative. I just stuck with Mr. Beckham. His abs are enough for me ;)
ReplyDeleteAlso, I think the whole face that Merit is unattached helps the immortality thing. If she had to leave behind a husband or family I think there would be real sorrow behind her anger. I get the feeling that a large part of her knows she'll transition just fine into the world of the vampire...
Oh I totally agree, they belong in the fictional realm. It's hard as it is as fictional men setting up the expectation bar YAY high if they were real. Oh crap!

ReplyDeleteYeah, I like my vamps to stay in the books too even if they sparkle. And I'm with you, Team Rosalie. But I thought Merit handled it well, much better than me. I'd cry for everything I was loosing. I have kids and dogs and extended family. I can't lose that!!

@Jenny- Yes...I was standing behind him in line buying my awesome 44oz diet fountain and the smell hit me like a bag of bricks...and he was making a weird clicking noise...(got chills just thinking about it)..:D

@Prangon, Lisa and Heather- Yeah me and vamps get along great in books....real vamps would freak me out and Im really cynical so I prob wouldn't believe it anyway!!
I would totally be skeptical of vampires too. And yes for Team Rosalie in that regard. The whole vampire world in these books is so interesting, but I hate the hierarchy and loss of freedom they portray.

I've hunted down all his movies, just to see more of him and that fine tush! My sister is getting a little tired of how obsessively I talk about him, AND he is my screen saver on my iPhone and lappy!!!
