Its time for TGIF~ hosted by GReads! A weekly feature that wraps up the week and poses a bookish question:
Reading Resolutions: What are some of your reading goals for the new year?
My entire 2012 resolutions are focusing on organization. The biggest area in books and this blog is less is best. I want my reviews to have quality and lack that sloppy rushed feel. The biggest area is organizing ARC's. Im limiting my acceptance of review copies due to lack of time. I don't want to rush through my books this year, I want to remember what it means to truly enjoy a book and savor it before I hop into the next.

I couldn't resist..

Good goals to have...ah jax
ReplyDeleteLess ARCs sounds like a great idea. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteTEAM JAX ALL THE WAY! Okay, now we've got that out of the way I can address the rest of the post:) I've really been trying to cut back on my review books as well so I can take more time, I feel like I've just reading a book every 2 days in order to keep up with my schedule that I'm missing out on all the fun of reading. Yay for less is best!
ReplyDeleteHi Jax!! Love SoA
ReplyDeleteI totally 100% agree with your 2012 goals. This is the year that I make reading/blogging fun again. No more trying to fill every day with posts just because I feel obligated to.
T!!!!!!!!!! You know I'm grabbing that TEAM JAX button, right?
ReplyDeleteAnd how are we gonna watch S4? I don't want to pay for it. LOL
Happy Friday!
OMG! OMG! OMG!!!!!
ReplyDeleteNo you DIDN'T make a Team Jax button that I am sooooo in love with! God that man is to die for right????
I definitely agree about wanting to read and savor the reading experience. That's why we started talking about books in the first place, I'd say! Hope you get back to basics :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a great reading resolution. I'm going to try to be more organized, too - blog-wise, especially when it comes to review copies.
ReplyDeleteJulie, Juju, Jessica, Alexa and Karen- Thanks, Im going to really try to focus on that goal...:D
ReplyDeleteJenny- Yes, thats why I set that goal for myself, I feel like Im rushing through my reading to just get it done and then crank out a review.....I want my reviews to rock not smell like poo.
Ashley- LOL oh yesss I did!!!!
Missie- You can totally steal the button YAY!! I did that one super fast just playing around, I could probably make a better one...:D
Sounds like you're off to a good start. I'm all for you sharing some of your organization tips!
ReplyDeleteWith all the excitement about this Jax god, I mean guy, I'll have to go hit Netflix and watch Sons of Anarchy!
That is a great book resolution! I need to get better and organize my books too.
ReplyDeleteI agree so much with what you wrote about wanting to savor a book, rather than rush through it. My reading time is regretfully limited, and so I find myself doing the same thing--rushing through without really pausing to digest the wonderful world building and characters that made me love reading in the first place.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely an awesome resolution to have and keep throughout the year!
Smiles!
