Tinas Favorite Fall and Halloween Treats

First the Bookie Brunch Sweet for the Sweets Candy Apple...

Anything with an apple tastes good to me.....candy apples, apple pie, apple turnovers, or just my favorite plain old Fuju apples...I love them all...

Pumpkin Donuts

Ohhhh how I love for the fall and these pumpkin donuts. My tummy can confirm these are the best cozy treat ever. Where I live we have an adorable homegrown and organic farm right down the road. Every fall I take the kids for pumpkins, hayride and we never leave without the homemade pumpkin donuts. I only get them once a year so its seriously a great treat!!

Mulled Apple Cider

I have a fabulous recipe for mulled apple cider. I make it once a year when we do our night of pumpkin seed baking. This stuff is delicious....

Recipe

8 cups unpasteurized apple cider
1 (3 inch) cinnamon sticks
10 whole cloves
1 navel orange, peeled and sliced crosswise
1 (2 inch) piece of peeled fresh ginger, cut into 6 slices

In a large saucepan combine the cider, the cinnamon stick, the cloves, the orange and the ginger and simmer the mixture for 20 minutes. Strain the mixture through a fine sieve into a heat-proof pitcher and serve the mulled cider warm.

And of course lots of Halloween Candy.....Laffy Taffy being my favorite!!

So, I have this massive love and addiction to pumpkin treats. Although, I had to draw the line at Cold Stone's pumpkin ice cream. Except...I did try it. I just think it's missing something. Anyhow, I could eat a store of pumpkin doughnuts and a house of pumpkin pies. I've been pumping out pumpking gooey cookies like they are going out of style. This is why I love this season. *sigh* YAY!
