To-Be-Read's: How big is your pile? Which book keeps getting pushed down the stack, but you keep meaning to read it?
About My Pile:
The pile currently has run over to unhealthy proportions...seriously I've become a major book addict, my librarians all say hi to me and know my name and I now buy books to just have them- not actually read them.
The good news to all this book madness is that Im also a neat freak when it comes to my books, so I only let ARCS and review books accumulate for so long and then I box everything up and take them to my local library or the local women's shelter and donate them. I have this nifty little basket that I put my monthly reading selections in and then change everything the first of the month. Ive had Anna and the French Kiss, The Eternal Ones, Unearthly, My Name is Memory, Linger and The Wind Up Girl in this basket for months........

Also I found out this week I was chosen to be an Ya Judge for this years Inspy Awards. Im pretty thrilled to be a part of this event and cant wait to get the reading started....woot!

I love that you are so organized. I write down in my pocket calender the books I'm reading for the month and when I'm reviewing them. I then put them on a special shelf on my book shelf so they are separated for the rest of my TBR pile.
ReplyDeleteVery cute basket, I wish I was that organized. I so wanna see american horror story but I had to let go of cable this month so I guess that is one I'll have to buy or get from netflix on series.

Congrats on the judgeship, Tina! :D Also, you must read Anna and the French Kiss. Seriously. o_o It's a feel good book that must be read.
ReplyDeleteAlso, feel free to donate any of your books to me! :D LOL! I never give any of my books away or box them up. They just continue to stack to my ceiling. I'm one of those people. It's one of my defects.
I'm the same way. If the books sit around too long, I donate them. LOVE your TBR basket.

ReplyDeleteI'm also a book addict. I have three bags full of books spread throughout my room because I ran out of space on my bookshelf. It's gotten much worse when I work at the public and have the perks of reading books without getting any fines.
ReplyDeleteI haven't see American Horror Show but I have no doubts how twisted it is. It's by the creators of Nip/Tuck which traumatized me. Have you seen that?

I love the basket! Very unique and very cute ;) Plus, you are a better woman than I for donating what you don't get to in a reasonable amount of time. I'm probably more of a hoarder *oops* I have such faith in myself! I'm darn sure I'll get to them all eventually - haha - yeah right, lol

@Sarah(Libreads) I try to get to all my ARCS- and for sure the ones Ive signed up for what have you and read all the tour books, but I seriously could have a problem if I didnt constantly clean them out and get them out of the house. Garage sales in the summer are good too...;)

@Jenny-I feel traumatized with you, but I really like that actress so I wanted to check it out, that part in the basement with the freaky rag-doll monster and the lights I almost puked- that scene made my head dizzy...not to mention the leather guy.....FREAKY...!!
@Rummanah- I tried to watch Nip/Tuck a few times and it was so sleezy and weird i just couldnt do it. Ive had to let some shows go because they get so graphic...True Blood- thats just straight up Porn now.
