Tinas Favorite Things in 2010- Movies

More of my Favorite Things this year outside of just books include movies,TV shows, music and great finds. My Favorite top 10 movies this year were......

1. Inception- This was the best movie I saw this year. I loved the twisty plotline, the special effects, the cinematography was awesome, the colors and sounds, everything about the movie just wowed me, not to mention an actor called Leonardo!!

2. The Book of Eli- Can you say ultimate dystopian world? Besides the plotline, which was brilliant with an equally shocking brilliant end- I thought the world building and overall feel of the environment is what sold this film. Its grim, violent, disturbing and the actors rocked.

3. Shutter Island- WOW- ok another Leonardo movie (is this guy the best actor or what) this was so twisty and mysterious. I didn't figure anything out until its big reveal....and for me, that's what makes a movie experience the best, when you travel the road with the character and get all tied up in the drama without figuring things out.

4. Eclipse- I mean really could I leave this off the list....even if this movie had sucked (haha..sucked) all the anticipation, Edward, seeing Edward bite Victoria's head off, seeing Edward get other than mopey....GREAT!!
5. Dear John- This was the best adaptation of a Sparks novel IMO, while the ending was changed (drastically) I actually enjoyed the movies ending better. It gave the readers of Dear John closure and watching Channing Tatum for two hours didn't bother me in the least......oh not to mention the scene in the hospital...which had me bawling. Basically Ive loved all of Sparks books and movies....except for the movie The Last Song...(ugh barf city)

6. Harry Potter 7- Part One- Its Harry Potter- what more can I say????

7. The Switch- Jason Bateman is why I loved this movie. The character, the quirky storyline all worked for me. I thought it was really funny too. While Aniston seems to be the same character in every movie I see her in, it worked for this one.

8. Ramona and Beezus- This was adorable!! One of the cutest and feel good family movies Ive seen. I loved that this movie had no shred of innuendo, was easy on the kissing and romantic themes. It was just a cute kid story with great imagination and a cute cat.

9. Charlie St. Cloud- Dont be hating on Zac--- he was really good in this movie. I loved the plotline, I thought it mixed mystery, romance and the supernatural all together wonderfully. It even made me a cry....a little....

10. Despicable Me- This was another great kids movie I saw this year and I laughed almost through the whole thing. My kids at one point looked at me while I was laughing and were like I don't get it.....The Bank of Evil...I loved it!!

Honorable Mentions

Those were my top tens but I also really liked: The Lovely Bones, Remember Me, Letters to Juliet, The Other Guys, Our Family Wedding, The Runaways and Dairy of a Wimpy Kid.

  3. I think Shutter Island movie was better than the book actually.

I think Notebook is the best, both equally movie vs book.

The Hangover will be my favourite of the year and I am so not comedy girl but that one had me crying with laughter.

  8. Joy- I loved Toy Story 3 as well, my kids really liked it too.

(Nobody read this if you havent read the book Dear John and dont want to be spoiled)

*****In the book John and Savannah never reconnect after that one night when they have dinner and talk about what happened...and the book never stats her husband dies, he gets better thanks to the medical treatment he gets the end is John watching from a distance and leaving to go back into the military while Savannah moves on with her husband, at least thats the impression left on the reader
